The human was banging loudly on the door to Zim's house, each knock resounding in an almost eery way into the empty base...not even answered by the insane robot who had surely been deactivated the second the irken had died. "ZIM I KNOW YOU'RE HOME, ANSWER THE FUCKING DOOR!" He screamed, trying and once again failing to kick the electronically locked barrier. "DAMNIT!" He yelled furiously as he plopped down on the front step. Why wouldn't the alien answer his door? Usually he at least had Gir try and keep him busy. He sighed, running a hand through his tossled hair, it looked like he was going to have to use a different entrance.
The teen stood up and began circling the house as he looked for at least a window or something that wouldn't be noticed if broken..but it wasn't like anybody would notice if it was the front windows anyway, people on this planet were just plain stupid. Dib gave an exhasperated huff when he found no such window and was about to go back to knocking on the door and screaming when he saw a police officer approaching him...great how much worse could this day get?
"Hello, sir." The law enforcement employee said as he finally reached the teen, "Is your name Dib?" He asked, not giving the boy time to respond to his greating.
"Uh...yeah." The teen replied, fidgeting some. Why would an officer be looking for him?
The police officer reached into his pocket and pulled out a zip lock baggy with a note inside and handed it to the boy, "We found this on a suicide body, and we'd like to know how you knew this person and if this is some kind of code you and this person used to trade back and forth." He explained.
Dib was slightly confused, suicide body? He took the bag and opened it before pulling the note out. He stuffed the plastic bag in his pocket then turned the folded up piece of paper over. There were only a few words on it but what they said had the human letting out a gasp. The front of the envelope said, To: Dib From: Zim. The irken was a...suicide? He unfolded the letter and of course it was completely written in irken, he had a chart at home that he could use to help decipher the meaning of the symbols but until he got home he couldn't do that. But to get it home he had to convince the officer that the letter was meaningless..when in fact right now it meant the world to him.
The teen let out a short laugh and held up the paper, "This old thing?" He asked, "This was a bunch of random drawings we did when we were kids." He lied, "I thought he'd thrown it away." He finally said lowering the paper once more to look at it as though he were reminicing in memories.
The officer bought the whole lie and simply shrugged, "Well you can keep it if you want then, it's not like it's evidence in a homicide or anything." The older man said. "Well..I hope you have a nice day. And uh...sorry for your loss." The police officer continued before turning around and heading back to his squad car.
"Yeah you too," The teen replied softly as he continued to stare down at the piece of paper until the officer had pulled away in his squad car. That's when the teen folded up the note, tucked it into his pocket, and ran home. The entire time the only thing that was running through his head was, Zim is dead...and I need to find out why.

ZaDR - Homecoming Part 1
Dib paused as he read the bulletin board near the school's front door.
"What're you reading?" the familiar voice said from behind him.
Without turning around, Dib reached back with an arm and pulled Zim toward him, holding him close. "Just looking to see if there are any new announcements."
Surprised but pleased at finding himself this close to his human, Zim stretched up onto the tips of his toes so he could rest his head against Dib's shoulder, reading the board too. "Hey, look!" He pointed at a bright flyer. "All applicants for homecoming king and queen need to talk to the principal before January 10th!"
"So?" Dib had no clue why

That Dib-child just made Zim so furious sometimes. If it weren't for that monkey, he would have taken over this wretched planet years ago. And it didn't help matters that they were in Hi-Skool by now and Dib was almost seven feet tall. Insanely tall compared to the short Invader. Zim, of course, hated Dib even more because of that.
By now they had reached some sort of mutual agreement; neither was capable of winning their endless battle. They were just too evenly matched somehow. They had also discovered that if either were to be permanently defeated, the other would most likely end up depressed and lose their drive.

ZaDR - Homecoming Part 2
A few weeks passed, and soon, it was time to vote for homecoming king and queen. Dib managed to convince Zim that they should vote for someone other than themselves, since that wasn't very modest. After much deliberation, they agreed to cast both of their votes on Zita and her boyfriend. Dib even managed to keep Zim from demanding to know who voted for him afterward.
The day of the dance came. Since they were candidates, they had to go to all of the events before the actual dance, such as the pep rally, basketball, and football games. Though they weren't interested in sports, they agreed anyway. They didn't have much choice, and besides, t
